It’s Nonprofit Appreciation Week!

February 15th: This week, we are celebrating the impact nonprofits make in our community every single day. At Community Living Dufferin, that means supporting people with intellectual disabilities to live inclusive, independent, and meaningful lives.

Behind every program, every milestone, and every success story is a team of dedicated staff, volunteers, families, and community partners who believe in belonging.

Thank you for being part of our community. Together, we are building something that truly matters.

February 16th: To our Nonprofit partners:

As a fellow Nonprofit, CLD understands both the rewards and challenges of serving our community. Throughout Nonprofit Appreciation Week (Februaryβ€―15–21,β€―2026), we recognize the dedication of staff and raise awareness about the impact of our sector.

Across Dufferin County, you continue to meet growing needs with limited resources. Despite funding pressures, rising costs, and increasing demand, you lead with resilience, compassion, and integrity. The work you do, often behind the scenes, strengthens families, enriches lives, and supports our most vulnerable residents.

CLD, along with Dufferin Community Foundation and Dufferin Board of Trade, is honoured to be local partners in this campaign and to celebrate the impact of Nonprofits and charities in our area.

Thank you for your essential contributions and unwavering commitment. Your dedication makes a real difference every day!

February 17th: Thank you to the Board of Directors β€”

Boards of Directors in the Developmental Services sector are volunteer-led and unpaid, driven by a dedication to inclusion, accountability, and community engagement. During Nonprofit Appreciation Week, and every day, we sincerely thank them for generously sharing their expertise and personal time to champion inclusion and improving the quality of lives for the men and women with intellectual/ developmental disabilities.

February 18th: Meaningful work builds confidence, independence, and connection.

At Community Living Dufferin, our Employment Services team works alongside individuals and local employers to create inclusive opportunities where people can thrive. From first interviews to on the job success, we are proud to support journeys that strengthen skills, workplaces, and our community.

During Nonprofit Appreciation Week, we celebrate the dedication of our team and the determination of the individuals we support. Together, we are creating workplaces where everyone belongs.

February 19th: This week, we celebrate the heart of CLD, our incredible staff. Every day, they show compassion, commitment, and dedication to the people we support. Their work strengthens our community and makes inclusion possible.

We are deeply grateful for the care and passion they bring to their roles. Thank you for all that you do.

February 20th: Here are some photos showcasing how our amazing Options staff engage with the men and women we support. From exciting and fun themed days like spa days, to meal prepping together and creative arts and crafting sessions, these moments truly reflect the energy, connection, and care our team brings each day.

In recognition of Nonprofit Appreciation Week, we want to celebrate the dedication, creativity, and heart our Options team brings to their work. Your commitment makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support β€” today and every day.

February 21st: As Nonprofit Appreciation Week comes to a close, CLD sends a huge THANK YOU to our staff, volunteers, and board members! This past week, we celebrated the incredible work of nonprofits across Dufferin County, the organizations like ours that support families, strengthen our local economy, bring people together, and help build a more caring, connected community. Your passion, dedication, and heart make Dufferin County stronger, not just this week, but every day.

We see you. We appreciate you. You make a difference!
