Community & Support
-
Family and caregivers of adults with intellectual disabilities often request behavioural support.
CLD administers this program which provides parents with funding upon approval and a list of professionals who support individuals with Intellectual disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorders. These professional service providers assist families in dealing with behavioral concerns with their son/daughter within the home. Paid for by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), this is a short term program (approximately six sessions).

CLD’s Community Outreach programs offers meaningful support to adults with intellectual disabilities by helping them build social connections, access community resources, and find opportunities for personal growth. These programs are designed to meet individuals where they are at and help them feel connected, capable, and included.
